The terms of this site. Short enough to read.
These cover this website, the list and pledges. The Paladin app is not out yet, and it will come with its own licence when it is.
The short version
- Use the site for what it is for, and do not attack it or its forms.
- A pledge is a gift toward the build, not a purchase. It buys no product, licence or feature.
- The sixty free days are a thank you, and they start when Paladin opens.
- Paladin is not out yet. Anything this site says about features, prices or dates is a plan, not a promise.
What these terms cover
These terms apply to paladinaios.com and its pages, the email list, and pledges made through the links on this site. By using the site you accept them. If you do not, please do not use it.
Paladin is made by Paladin AIOS. “We” and “us” mean that company, and “you” means you.
Using the site
Use it for what it is for: reading about Paladin, joining the list, pledging and writing to us. Please do not:
- try to break into, overload or disrupt the site, or get round its protections;
- send automated traffic at the forms, or sign up an address that is not yours;
- pretend to be someone else when you write to us;
- copy the site to pass it off as your own, or use it to break any law.
We may block traffic that does these things, without warning.
The list
Join with your own address only. We write about Paladin: when it opens, and now and then about how the build is going. Every message has an unsubscribe link, and leaving takes one click. How we handle the address is in the privacy notice.
Pledges
A pledge is a gift toward building Paladin. It is not a purchase, a pre-order or an investment. It buys no product, no licence, no share in the company and no promise that a particular feature will be built.
The sixty free days. As a thank you, anyone who pledges gets sixty days of Paladin free when it opens, whatever the amount. They start when Paladin opens, not when you pledge. We find you by the email on your Stripe receipt. One thank you per email address; it cannot be moved to someone else or swapped for money.
Payment. Stripe takes the payment on its own page, under Stripe's terms. Stripe emails the receipt, and that receipt is the record of what you gave. We are not a charity, so a pledge is not tax-deductible.
Refunds. If you were charged by mistake, charged twice, or did not mean to pledge, write to hello@paladinaios.com within 30 days and we will refund it. After that a pledge cannot be refunded, except where the law where you live says otherwise.
If the work stops. Pledges pay for the build as it happens, so the money is spent on the machines and accounts that make Paladin. If the project ends before Paladin opens, there is no fund left to return and the sixty days will not happen. We would tell the list first.
What the site promises
Paladin is still being built. What this site says about features, supported models, prices and dates describes what we are building and may change before it opens. The screenshots are of the real app as it is today.
Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, Stripe, Cloudflare and other names on this site belong to their owners. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them.
Our words and pictures
The text, pictures, audio and design of this site are ours. You may link to any page and quote a line with credit. Please ask before copying more than that.
The site as it is
We work to keep the site accurate and running, but we provide it as it is, without a guarantee that it will always be available or free of mistakes.
As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect or unforeseeable loss from using the site, and our total responsibility to you is limited to the amount you pledged in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty US dollars if you did not pledge. Nothing here limits a right the law says cannot be limited.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, and its courts deal with any dispute. If you live somewhere whose law gives you more protection, you keep it.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the site and Paladin change. The date at the top changes with them, and a pledge is always governed by the terms in force on the day you made it.
